When choosing a career it is a tough decision to make on what a certain person wants to do as a job for the rest of their lives. Growing up through school there are always different factors that affect what jobs we go into. Some of the examples that this includes is, friends, family, teachers, etc.
These are the Five ways to choose a career path.
1. Internet
2.Tests
3.Using flower exercise
4. Changing your career in two steps
5. Figuring out what your job requires
These five ways are very useful in figuring out what one wants to do as a career.
Internet- This way is very useful because you can literally view any and all jobs that you are interested in. It is a helpful resource because it gives in-detailed information on any and every job and it can tell you what those jobs require as a means to getting involved in that path.
Tests- Growing up through high school i always remembered taking placement test that helped you decide what jobs best suited ones interests. You either like these tests or you don't, but either way they are a good and helpful resource because they give you some ideas on what fits you best.
Flower exercise- A careful step by step process for ensuring that you are choosing a career that fits you like a glove. The flower exercise gives you the basic building blocks of who you are and so can match a career to you based on characteristics.
Changing career- This is not so much a way to identify a career, but as a way to move into that career, once you figure out where you want to go next. Its a useful way to see what that type of industry requires out of you and to get acclimated to what that field is like.
Job requirements- This is perhaps one of the most important steps because at this point you are dedicated to that one job and need to figure out how to best get acclimated to the new surroundings of that industry. You have to figure out the job requirements and then learn the jobs like the back of your hand.
